KAL "Leftie" Shawlette by Martina Behm

I loved the pattern "Leftie" by Martina Behm, many time and always was in my mind to knit it. Almost, I love more to knit one pattern with other knitters than to knit it alone.

 I like more to  share the happy of creativity and to discuss with knitters with a common but unknown pattern. So I wrote a post in "Marieta's Yarnland" social knitting group in F/B  for KAL about Leftie pattern. 11 girls have participated in KAL (Knitting All Together) for the Leftie pattern.

 We opened a communicate group in Messenger and the knitting of the pattern was so happily,friendly and helpful. We discussed about  yarns, cοlor combinations, knitting tips .
We met and contacted knitters from different cities in Greece. People who we did not know before . We created a creative communication. 
I would like to thanks all the knitters who participated and shared  beautiful and creative hours.

Πλέκουμε Ολες Μαζί το Leftie της Martina Behm

 Πάντοτε μου άρεσε το σχέδιο "Leftie"   της Martina Behm,  και για πολύ καιρό και ήταν  στο μυαλό μου να το πλέξω. Επίσης , μου αρέσει περισσότερο να πλέκω ένα σχέδιο παράλληλα με άλλες πλέκτριες και να μοιραζόμαστε την χαρά της δημιουργικότητας, να συζητάμε για τις άλλες πλέκτριες, καθώς δημιουργούμε επάνω σ'ένα κοινό αλλά άγνωστό μας

σχέδιο. Σκέφτηκα λοιπόν, και ανέβασα στην κοινωνίκη ομάδα πλεξίματος  "Marieta's Yarnland" στο F / B μία πρόσκληση-ανακοίνωση για ΠΟΜ(πλέκουμε όλοι μαζί σε συγκεκριμένο χρόνο το ίδιο σχέδιο) σχετικά με το  Leftie της Martina Behm. Ελπίζοντας να βρώ συμπλέκτριες για το ίδιο σχέδιο.

Και
πράγματι, 11δημιουργικά κορίτσια, 
11 πλέκτριες από  όλη την Ελλάδα, ανταποκρίθηκαν και δήλωσαν συμμετοχή στο κοινό μας πλέξιμο. Δημιουργήσαμε  μια ομάδα επικοινωνίας στο Messenger και το πλέξιμο του σχεδίου έγινε τοσο , χαρούμενο, φιλικό και βοηθητικό χάρη στην επικοινωνία μας. Συζητούσαμε

Εριφύλη Γαρεφαλάκη

για ποιοτητες νημάτων που ενδείκνυνται για το σχέδιο,  συνδυασμούς χρωμάτων, συμβουλές και μυστικά για πλέξιμο του σχεδίου, καταστήματα για νήματα και ότι απορίες είχαμε ρωτούσαμε στην ομάδα.

Ηρθαμε κοντά με ανθρώπους που δεν γνωρίζαμε πριν και μας ένωσε το κοινό μας μεράκι και η αγάπη για το πλέξιμο και το σχέδιο Leftie.
Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω όλες τις κυρίες -πλέκτριες  που αγκάλιασαν την δράση της ομάδας Marieta's Yarnland,  συμμετείχαν και μοιράστηκαμε γνώσεις, χαρούμενες και δημιουργικές ώρες. The stitches which are symbolically chosen

 (Knit, Purl, Fillet, Increases - Fixed rows net and Decreases)

 and the way they are divided up in the shawl take me

 to all the lovely corners of the island.

  

The yellow colour from the leaves of plane trees in the square of the traditional village Kazaviti

• The sunset colour from Belvedere beach, 
• Happy and Relaxing hours with our friends , 
• The green colour  of olive leaves  in the olive grove of Prinos village
• The joy and happiness that shines in the eyes of  my lovely Paul
• The flowering yuccas in our rock garden and
• The rose colour of the grapes and wine

Rightly dedicated to all of my friends and our pictures in my heart, the island of Thassos inspired me to create and share the “Thassos Shawl” pattern for all those who will choose itto provide them with warmth and coziness.

For my shawl, I selected the yarn DK Aran. I used needles n.5,5 (US 9.0)
