Just completed, a new knitting project, with  Celtic cables. My participation in test knitting for   a-walk-through-aspens-cowl by Kalurah Hudson. 

Used bukly weight  yarn 145mtr / needles 8mm . 

Love the pattern, easy to follow, clear instructions. Also,like the 3 metal buttons which make a special decor in the neckwarmer .

Celtic Flame is a beautiful, knitting Neckwarmer /cowl.
Ιn the centerpiece created as used the Saxon Braid stitch (one of the famous Celtic Braids). That gives a square and solid image to the design.
Knitted in one piece and flat knitting. 

Measurements: width 6” (15cm) x length 27, 10” (70cm)
With 200yrds chunky yarn, the written instructions step by step and the chart, is helpful to created your “Celtic Flame”.

The pattern is an Easy and quick , because are 8 rows which repeated so many times to have the desire length .

18 stitches and 25 rows = 10 cm

US 8 - 5.0 mm

The Neckwarmer Diagonal Basketweave is a beautiful and very tight weave  design. With the first looks so intimidating but once you understand the method is a lot of fun to knit. The design is diagonal and has a woven, braided look using cable stitches.This pattern needs attention at the beginning until someone is familiar with it. As it uses so little
yarn it is a great project for a thrifty knitter, for usingup leftovers, or for a small gif

 

  

Buttons: The original used three buttons with a diameterof 3.3 cm = 1.35 inches. 

If your buttons are significantlybigger or smaller, the buttonholes will have to beadapted accordingly.

Ο λαιμός  Neckwarmer Diagonal Basketweave  με πλέξη σταυρωτές πλεξίδες , δημιουργεί  ένα πανέμορφο και πολύ σταθερό πλεκτό.  Με την πρώτη την πρώτη ματιά δείχνει να ειναι δύσκολη η πλέξη του όμως ακολουθώντας τις οδηγίες και με υπομονή, εξοικειώνεται κάποιος με το σταυρωτό πλέξιμο του και τότε καταλαβαίνει ότι ειναι κάτι πολύ απλό. Στην αρχή πλέκετε λάστιχο, μετά ακολουθεί στις άκρες πλέξη πουαντερί και το σχέδιο στο μέσον του πλεκτού. ΄Ολο το σχέδιο ολοκληρώνεται σε 8 σειρές που επαναλαμβάνονται τόσες φορές όσο να έχετε ο επιθυμητό μήκος στο πλεκτό σας που θα αγκαλιάζει το λαιμό.
