  Yogurt Pancakes  by Marieta Iosifidou

 

 


  • An easy dessert or breakfast, everyone loves it. Delicious food, for all hours of the day and night.  
  • You can taste it, savory or sweet.Served:  
  •  with cheese, ham, salad or
  • with Philadelphia cheese, slices offruits, jam, honey and cinnamon, nutella .

For yogurt pancakes you will need

Ingredients

  • 250gr/ 10oz plain Yogurt (strained of Greek Yogurt)
  • 3 tbsp. Baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 of cup, sunflower oil
  • 1/4 of cup oragne juice (juice of 2 fresh oranges)
  • 1 tbsp Slightly grated orange peel
  • 1 ½ cup of plain Flour - 200gram plain Flour
  • 1  tbsp. Salt
  • 1 ½ tbsp. Sugar

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, mix together,  the eggs, yogurt,orange juice, salt, sugar, orange peel and oil.
  •  Sift the flour. Mix the flour with the baking powder.  Add it to the bowl.
  • Beat the mixture a little to have a very soft and fluffy dough.
  • Get your frying pan over a medium flame, 
  • rub a little oil on the pan or spray whatever you are using, 
  • then add even dollops of the mixture to the pan.
  • Cook approximate 1 minute before flipping and repeating for around 30 seconds to brown the other side, 
 

 
rest on a kitchen paper towel and repeat
 
 
We served them with , Greek thyme honey, cinnamon, Greek blonde raisins and walnuts.
