Finished size: width 12 cm (4.72^“) and length 54 cm (21.50″).

(          For the head circumference 54cm: 54/2=27 cm–20% for the twist=22cm on each side).

“Diagonal Basketweave Headband” is a 

beautiful and tight weave knitting design.

The design looks as has a woven, braided 

using Diagonal Basketweave Cable Stitch 

which creates very tight and dense fabric.

A great knitting stitch for headband, which suggest creating knits with extra warm!   

And headband screams for such an effect.

 

 

The pattern is easy to follow and quick knitting, because are 4 rows which repeated 

alternative, so many times to have the desire length.

25η Μαρτίου - Διπλή Εθνική Γιορτή για την Ελλάδα

Η 25η Μαρτίου είναι Μέρα Διπλής Γιορτής για την Ελλάδα και τον Ελληνικό Λαό. Έχει διπλή σημασία ,θρησκευτική και Εθνική Γιορτή.

Ελληνική Επανάσταση ή Επανάσταση του 1821 ήταν η ένοπλη εξέγερση των επαναστατημένων Ελλήνων εναντίον της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας με σκοπό την αποτίναξη της οθωμανικής κυριαρχίας και τη δημιουργία ανεξάρτητου κράτους. Περισσότερα εδώ: Επανάσταση 1821

Η θρησκευτική προσέγγιση της γιορτής, οφείλεται στον εορτασμό του, Ευαγγελισμού της Θεοτόκου.

Με την λέξη Ευαγγελισμός αναφερόμαστε στη χαρμόσυνη είδηση για τον Χριστιανισμό, της επικείμενης γέννησης του Ιησού Χριστού, που δόθηκε από τον αρχάγγελο Γαβριήλ προς τη Μαριάμ. Επίσης, με τον ίδιο όρο αναφερόμαστε στην εκκλησιαστική θεομητορική εορτή που τελείται την 25η Μαρτίου προς ανάμνηση του γεγονότος αυτού.

Ευαγγελισμός σημαίνει αναγγελία χαρμόσυνης είδησης και ετυμολογικά προέρχεται από το ευάγγελος (=ευ+άγγελος < αγγέλω) μια πολύ παλαιότερη ελληνική λέξη
